Caring for someone you love can be rewarding, but it can also become overwhelming when their needs begin to exceed what one person or family can safely manage.
Maybe your parent is having difficulty bathing, dressing, preparing meals, or moving safely around the house.
Perhaps your spouse has experienced a change in health and now requires more assistance.
You may have a child with complex medical or developmental needs and are trying to understand what resources are available in Georgia.
Or maybe your loved one is preparing to come home from the hospital or rehabilitation facility, and you’re wondering:
“How are we going to manage all of this at home?”
Flowers Home Care is here to help.
Flowers Home Care Is Currently Accepting New Clients
Flowers Home Care LLC provides in-home care to children, adults, seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities throughout the communities we serve.
Our goal is simple: help individuals receive compassionate, person-centered care while remaining in the place many people are most comfortable—their own home.
Depending on the individual’s needs and eligibility, services may include:
▪️Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
▪️Bathing, grooming and dressing assistance
▪️Mobility and transfer support
▪️Meal preparation
▪️Companion and homemaker services
▪️Medication reminders
▪️Respite and family caregiver relief
▪️Dementia and Alzheimer’s support
▪️Wellness checks
▪️Post-hospital and post-operative support
▪️Pediatric personal support
▪️Pediatric skilled nursing provided by RNs and LPNs
Every family is different. That’s why care should begin with understanding the person—not simply assigning a caregiver.
When Is It Time to Consider In-Home Care?
Families often wait until there is a crisis before seeking additional support.
However, there may be warning signs that it’s time to have a conversation about home care.
Has your loved one experienced a recent fall?
Are everyday activities such as bathing, dressing, preparing meals, or using the restroom becoming difficult?
Is a family caregiver becoming exhausted?
Has your loved one recently returned home from the hospital or rehabilitation?
Does someone need supervision while family members are working?
Would a few hours of assistance each week make it easier for your loved one to remain safely at home?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, it may be time to explore your options.
Georgia Families With Medically Fragile Children Have Options Too
Flowers Home Care is also a Georgia pediatric provider supporting families of children with complex medical and developmental needs.
Through the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP), eligible children may qualify for medically necessary services in their homes.
Depending on the child’s assessed needs and authorization, services may include skilled nursing and/or personal support.
Our pediatric team may assist children who require services such as medication administration, seizure monitoring, respiratory care, tracheostomy or suctioning support, feeding-related care, assistance with activities of daily living, supervision and other medically necessary support.
Families often don’t know these resources exist until someone tells them.
That’s why Flowers Home Care also helps families understand the GAPP process, gather required documentation and coordinate with healthcare providers as they pursue services.
Eligibility and approved hours are determined through the applicable Medicaid/GAPP authorization process and the child’s documented medical needs.
Support After Hospitalization
Coming home from the hospital is often when families realize how much assistance their loved one actually needs.
The hospital stay may be over, but recovery continues at home.
Flowers Home Care can work alongside families and healthcare professionals to help establish an appropriate home-care plan following hospitalization, rehabilitation or surgery.
We also welcome referrals from:
Hospital social workers • Discharge planners • Physicians • Nurse practitioners • Case managers • Therapists • Schools • Community organizations • Senior-service professionals
Our objective is to make the transition home safer and easier for both the individual receiving care and the family supporting them.
You Don’t Have to Wait Until You’re Overwhelmed
Asking for help doesn’t mean giving up your role as a caregiver.
Sometimes the right support allows you to return to being a daughter, son, spouse, parent or family member instead of trying to manage every aspect of care alone.
Even a few scheduled hours of dependable assistance can make a meaningful difference for a family.
Flowers Home Care is currently accepting new clients, and our team would be happy to discuss your family’s situation and determine whether our services may be appropriate.
